Blood, Sweat, and Fear: Workers' Rights in U.S. Meat and Poultry Plants

Type:
Reports

This report documents systemic human rights violations in the meat and poultry slaughtering and processing industries. In these hazardous industries, injured workers often face dismissal and other forms of retaliation. Injured immigrant workers face particularly harsh treatment and additional barriers to accessing benefits under workers’ compensation. Chapter 5 of the report focuses specifically on workers' compensation.
