Burned: High Risks and Low Benefits for Workers in the New York City Restaurant Industry
This report is based on an extensive study of the working conditions and occupational hazards within the New York City restaurant industry. This report documents the workplace hazards faced by restaurant workers, and the barriers they face in accessing workers’ compensation when they are injured on the job. The report documents the particular pressures on immigrant workers to not report workplace illnesses and injuries.
