Timeliness of Injury Reporting and First Indemnity Payment in New York: A Comparison with 14 States

This report examines the 2007 New York workers' compensation system reforms. The report finds that injured workers in New York State face significantly longer delays in receiving their first indemnity payments than do workers in other studied states. Finally, the report analyzes features of the New York workers' compensation system that may contribute to these delays.
